We encourage alumni and friends to get involved and help support the next generation of Latino leaders.

Volunteer

Calling all Trojan Alumni Volunteers! Are you interested in getting more involved? Join one of the USC LAA committees and work alongside Board and Corporate Advisory Council members. Each committee is led by a chair and focuses on a specific programming or functional area.

  • Career and Professional Services Committee: In support of academic and professional development, the career and professional services committee connects USC LAA scholars, alumni, and USC LAA friends to peers, companies, and resources. They seek and identify mentorship and learning opportunities for USC LAA constituents in support of career exploration, business development, and skill acquisition.
  • Communications Committee: The Communications committee assists staff with the development, updating and monitoring the USC Latino Alumni Association’s communication strategies. Members support staff by advising and assisting with the creation of content for social media accounts, newsletters, and constituents as a whole. Members should have a background and interest in communication strategies.
  • Development Committee: The Development committee assists with the development of annual fundraising activities plan. They utilize their skills and knowledge about fundraising and philanthropy to help monitor and support the fundraising efforts of the USC LAA. They participate in USC LAA events and look within their networks for potential donors and corporate sponsors. Committee members are to contribute financially to the USC LAA at a level meaningful to them.
  • Engagement Committee: The Engagement Committee is charged with advising USC LAA staff on overall alumni, parent, and friend engagement initiatives including strategy and tactical measures. They assist in the development of programs and activities to further engage Latino alumni and other USC LAA constituents to supports USC LAA priorities. They serve as ambassadors for the USC LAA and USC with the community.
  • Young Leaders Council: The Young Leaders Council allows young professionals to expand their network and professional skills while raising scholarship funds for outstanding USC students. Members help support events targeting young alumni and initiatives that further the LAA mission.
  • Scholarship Committee: The Scholarship Committee assists with the development of tactics and procedures for the scholarship program. They oversee the annual scholarship review process and ensure the timely and fair distribution of scholarship funds. They assist in devising goals and strategies, so scholarships provide maximum impact to students. They also help devise fundraising goals for scholarships and work closely with Development committee to meet these. Committee members are to contribute financially to scholarships at the USC LAA at a level meaningful to them.

Attend

  • Attend professional development and networking events and connect with Trojans from a variety of industries and backgrounds.
  • Check out our Homecoming Tailgate, Annual Scholarship Gala and Scholarship Golf Classic, which offer networking and social opportunities and raise funds for scholarships students.
  • Join us for one of the many other events and programs the LAA offers to help you connect with a broad spectrum of alumni.
