John Rodarte

John Rodarte, MD, FAAP, is a pediatrician and physician manager with Descanso Pediatric Medical Group in La Cañada and is an assistant clinical professor at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He also is a medical staff member for the U.S. Figure Skating Association, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Schurr High School Varsity Football Team, and is a reserve Los Angeles County deputy sheriff with the Montrose Search and Rescue Team. Dr. Rodarte received a BA in biological anthropology from Harvard University and an MD from USC. He serves on the admissions committees of the Keck School of Medicine and Harvard; is president of the board of the Huntington Foundation Medical Group; and a member of the boards of the Lighted Window Preschool in La Cañada, the Trojan Coaches Club and Healing Hearts Across Borders. He has been named a “Top Doctor” for the past three years by Pasadena Magazine, and “Best Pediatrician” by readers of the Glendale News-Press, among other awards. He enjoys mountain climbing, having scaled Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood, Mt. Whitney, the Grand Teton, Mt. San Gorgonio and Mt. San Jacinto.
